حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُسْرٍ صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَكَانَ ا

لنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْخًا قَالَ كَانَ أَشَبَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنْ كَانَ فِي لِحْيَتِهِ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ فِي عَنْفَقَتِهِ شَعَرَاتٌ بِيضٌ

English Translation

Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us saying: Ḥarīz ibn ʿUthmān narrated to us saying: I asked ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr, the Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, 'Was the Prophet ﷺ an old man?' He said, 'He was younger than that, but there were in his beard' — and sometimes he said: 'in his goatee' — 'a few white hairs.'
