حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِلصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ وَلِلثَّانِي مَرَّةً
English Translation
Ismāʿīl narrated to us, from Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥārith, from Khālid ibn Maʿdān, from al-ʿIrbāḍ ibn Sāriyah رضي الله عنه, that he narrated to them that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to seek forgiveness for the front row three times and for the second row once.
