حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَن مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا حَكَمَ الْحَاكِمُ فَاجْتَهَدَ ثُمَّ أَصَابَ فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ وَإِذَا حَكَمَ وَاجْتَهَدَ ثُمَّ أَخْطَأَ فَلَهُ أَجْرٌ
English Translation
ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'When a judge makes a ruling and strives to reach the correct judgment, and is correct, he receives two rewards. When he makes a ruling and strives but errs, he receives one reward.'
