حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ خَارِجَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ ا
لنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَهُمْ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَإِنَّ رَاحِلَتَهُ لَتَقْصَعُ بِجِرَّتِهَا وَإِنَّ لُعَابَهَا يَسِيلُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ قَسَمَ لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ نَصِيبَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ فَلَا تَجُوزُ وَصِيَّةٌ لِوَارِثٍ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ أَلَا وَمَنْ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ أَوْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا أَوْ عَدْلًا وَلَا صَرْفًا

English Translation
Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, Saʿīd — meaning Ibn Abī ʿArūbah — informed us, from Qatādah, from Shahr ibn Ḥawshab, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ghanm, that ʿAmr ibn Khārijah al-Khushanī narrated to them that the Prophet ﷺ addressed them upon his riding camel, and his camel was chewing its cud and its saliva was dripping between my shoulders. He said: 'Indeed Allāh عز وجل has divided for every person his share of the inheritance, so no bequest is permitted for an heir. The child belongs to the bed, and for the adulterer is the stone. Whoever claims descent from other than his father or affiliates himself with other than his masters, upon him is the curse of Allāh, the angels, and all of mankind. Allāh will accept from him neither ransom nor repentance — or repentance nor ransom.'
