English Translation
He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i read to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān: Mālik, from ʿAbd al-Karīm ibn Mālik al-Jazarī, from Mujāhid, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā, from Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah, that he was with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and the lice in his head were troubling him. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ commanded him to shave his head and said: 'Fast three days, or feed six needy persons — two mudds each per person — or sacrifice a sheep. Whichever of these you do will suffice you.'
