حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ الرَّاكِبُ يَسِيرُ خَلْفَ الْجِنَازَةِ وَالْمَاشِي يَمْشِي خَلْفَهَا و
َأَمَامَهَا وَيَمِينَهَا وَشِمَالَهَا قَرِيبًا وَالسِّقْطُ يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ يُدْعَى لِوَالِدَيْهِ بِالْعَافِيَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ قَالَ يُونُسُ وَأَهْلُ زِيَادٍ يَذْكُرُونَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَلَا أَحْفَظُهُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Ismāʿīl narrated to us, Yūnus informed us, from Ziyād ibn Jubayr, from his father, that al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah said: 'The rider travels behind the funeral procession, and the one walking may walk behind it, in front of it, to its right, and to its left — nearby. The funeral prayer is offered for the miscarried child, supplication is made for its parents for well-being and mercy.' Yūnus said: The family of Ziyād attribute this to the Prophet ﷺ, but as for me, I do not remember it (with attribution).
