حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَ
ابِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّرِ الطَّائِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحِلٌّ الطَّائِيُّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ مَنْ أَمَّنَا فَلْيُتِمَّ الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ فَإِنَّ فِينَا الضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَالْمَرِيضَ وَالْعَابِرَ سَبِيلٍ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ هَكَذَا كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh ibn Muḥammad narrated to us — Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: and I heard it from ʿAbdullāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Shaybah — he said: Zayd ibn al-Ḥubāb narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn al-Walīd ibn al-Musayyar al-Ṭāʾī, who said: Muḥill al-Ṭāʾī informed me, from ʿAdī ibn Ḥātim رضي الله عنه who said: 'Whoever leads us in prayer, let him complete the bowing and prostration, for among us are the weak, the elderly, the sick, the traveler, and the one with a need. This is how we used to pray with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
