English Translation

ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, Hammām narrated to us, Qatādah narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn ʿAbdullāh, from ʿIyāḍ ibn Ḥimār رضي الله عنه — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The sin of two who insult each other — what they say is upon the one who started, as long as the wronged one does not transgress.' And: 'Two who insult each other are two satans, each lying to and reviling the other.'
