حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَن قَتَادَةَ عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْ

وَةَ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ لَا تَلْبِسُوا عَلَيْنَا سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّنَا عِدَّةُ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا سَيِّدُهَا أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا

English Translation
ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ said: 'Do not confuse our Prophet's Sunnah for us. The waiting period (ʿiddah) of the umm al-walad (mother of the master's child), when her master dies, is four months and ten days.'
