English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us: my father, Sufyān, and Isrāʾīl narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib, who said: We used to talk about how the number of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Badr was the same as the number of the companions of Ṭālūt on the day of Jālūt — three hundred and ten-odd — those who crossed the river with him. And none crossed the river with him except a believer.
