Hadith #203
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ مَرَّ بِي عَمِّي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَمَعَهُ لِوَاءٌ قَدْ عَقَدَهُ لَهُ
النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَيْ عَمِّ أَيْنَ بَعَثَكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَعَثَنِي إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ

English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us: Ashʿath informed us, from ʿAdī ibn Thābit, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib, who said: My uncle al-Ḥārith ibn ʿAmr passed by me carrying a banner that the Prophet ﷺ had tied for him. I said: "Dear uncle, where has the Prophet ﷺ sent you?" He said: "He sent me to a man who married his father's wife, and he ordered me to strike his neck."
