Hadith #272
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَن سُفْيَانَ عَن أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَن عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ي
َزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْبَرَاءُ وَهُوَ غَيْرُ كَذُوبٍ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ لَمْ يَحْنِ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا ظَهْرَهُ حَتَّى يَسْجُدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنُسْجَدَ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated from Sufyān, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ, who said: 'We used to pray behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and when he would raise his head from bowing, I would not see anyone place his forehead [on the ground] until the Prophet ﷺ placed his forehead, then those behind him would fall in prostration.'
