Ziyād ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bakkāʾī narrated from Manṣūr and al-Aʿmash, from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, from Abū al-Sanābil, who said: 'Subayʿah gave birth twenty-three — or twenty-five — nights after the death of her husband. She adorned herself, and the Prophet ﷺ was informed. He said: "If she does so, her waiting period has passed."'
