حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبًا يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ الْعِيدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللّ
َهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ مَنْ كَانَ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُعِدْ مَكَانَهَا أُخْرَى وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَلْيَذْبَحْ وَمَنْ كَانَ لَمْ يَذْبَحْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated from Shuʿbah — al-Aswad ibn Qays informed me — who said: I heard Jundub narrating that he witnessed the Eid with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He prayed then gave a sermon and said: 'Whoever slaughtered before the prayer, let him replace it with another. And whoever had not slaughtered, let him slaughter in the name of Allah.'
