حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ جَاءَتْ امْرَأَ
ةٌ إِلَى النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ زَوْجَهَا وَقَعَ عَلَى جَارِيَتِهَا فَقَالَ سَأَقْضِي فِي ذَلِكَ بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ كُنْتِ أَحْلَلْتِيهَا لَهُ ضَرَبْتُهُ مِائَةَ سَوْطٍ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونِي أَحْلَلْتِيهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ

English Translation
ʿAlī ibn ʿĀṣim narrated to us, from Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ, from Ḥabīb ibn Sālim, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه who said: A woman came to al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr and said that her husband had intercourse with her slave-girl. He said: 'I shall judge in this with the judgment of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: if you had permitted her to him, I will strike him one hundred lashes; and if you had not permitted her to him, I will stone him.'
