حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُخَارِقٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بَجِيلَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اكْسُوا ا
لْبَجَلِيِّينَ وَابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمَسِيِّينَ قَالَ فَتَخَلَّفَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ مَا يَقُولُ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَدَعَا لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهِمْ مُخَارِقٌ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Mukhāriq, from Ṭāriq ibn Shihāb who said: The delegation of Bajīlah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Clothe the Bajalīs and begin with the Aḥmasīs.' A man from Qays held back, saying: 'Let me see what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ says to them.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated for them five times: 'O Allah, send blessings upon them' — or: 'O Allah, bless them.' Mukhāriq is the one who is uncertain.
