English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us, Hishām ibn ʿUrwah narrated to us, from his father, from Nājiyah al-Khuzāʿī — and he was the keeper of the sacrificial camels of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — who said: I said: "How should I deal with those of the sacrificial camels that become injured?" He said: "Slaughter it, dip its sandal-marker in its blood, strike its flank with it, and leave it for the people to eat."
