English Translation

Qutaybah ibn Saʿīd narrated to us — and Qutaybah wrote it to me — Mujammiʿ ibn Yaʿqūb narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Mujammiʿ, who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ḥabībah was asked: "What do you remember of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" — and he had been alive when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, as a young boy. He said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us one day at our mosque — meaning the mosque of Qubāʾ. We came and sat with him, and the people sat with him. He sat as long as Allah willed, then he stood to pray. I saw him praying in his sandals."
