حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً عَنْ بُسْرٍ أَوْ بُسْرِ بْنِ مِحْجَنٍ ثُمَّ كَانَ يَقُولُ بَعْدُ عَنْ أَبِي مِحْجَنٍ الدِّيلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ف
َحَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلَّى فَقَالَ لِي أَلَا صَلَّيْتَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فِي الرَّحْلِ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُكَ قَالَ فَإِذَا فَعَلْتَ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ وَاجْعَلْهَا نَافِلَةً قَالَ أَبِي وَلَمْ يَقُلْ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ وَلَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَاجْعَلْهَا نَافِلَةً

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam — Sufyān said once: from Busr, or Busr ibn Miḥjan; then he later said: from Abū Miḥjan al-Dīlī — from his father, who said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in the mosque. Prayer time arrived, and he prayed. He said to me: "Did you not pray?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I had already prayed at my camp, then I came to you." He said: "If you have done so, then pray with them and make it a voluntary prayer." His father said: Abū Nuʿaym and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān did not include: "and make it a voluntary prayer."
