Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَة
َ عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي هَنَاتٌ وَهَنَاتٌ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَمَنْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ يُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُمْ جَمِيعٌ فَاقْتُلُوهُ كَائِنًا مَنْ كَانَ مِنْ النَّاسِ

English Translation
Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, Shaybān narrated to us, from Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqah, from ʿArfajah ibn Shurayḥ al-Aslamī رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There will be after me trials and tribulations' — and he raised his hands — 'so whoever you see seeking to divide the ummah of Muḥammad ﷺ while they are united, kill him, whoever he may be among the people.'
