حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَالْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ { وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمْ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ } حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ كَذَا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ مِثْلَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ أُسَيْعًا هُوَ يُسَيْعُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Manṣūr and al-Aʿmash, from Dharr, from Yusayʿ al-Ḥaḍramī, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon and saying: 'Indeed, supplication is worship.' Then he recited: {And your Lord says: Call upon Me; I will respond to you.} Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Manṣūr, from Dharr, from Yusayʿ al-Ḥaḍramī, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said — and he mentioned likewise. Shuʿbah said likewise. Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: I was informed that Usayʿ is Yusayʿ ibn Maʿdān al-Ḥaḍramī.
