حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ الضَّحَّاكَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ سَأَلَ النّ
ُعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ بِمَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ مَعَ سُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ قَالَ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us: Mālik narrated to us, from Ḍamrah ibn Saʿīd, from ʿUbaydullāh ibn ʿAbdillāh: that al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Qays asked al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr: What did the Prophet ﷺ recite on Friday alongside Sūrat al-Jumuʿah? He said: {Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming Event?}.
