Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ شُبَيْلٍ ع
َنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُكَلِّمُ صَاحِبَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَاجَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ { وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ } فَأُمِرْنَا بِالسُّكُوتِ

English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man used to speak to his companion during prayer in the time of the Prophet ﷺ, regarding his needs, until this verse was revealed: {And stand before Allah, devoutly obedient} [2:238]. Then we were commanded to be silent.
