حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ كَانَ زَ

يْدٌ يُكَبِّرُ عَلَى جَنَائِزِنَا أَرْبَعًا وَأَنَّهُ كَبَّرَ عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ خَمْسًا فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَبِّرُهَا

English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that zayd used to pronounce four takbīrs over our funeral prayers, but then he pronounced five takbīrs over one funeral prayer. I asked him and he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pronounce them.'
