English Translation

Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from Ibrāhīm ibn Maysarah, from ʿAmr ibn al-Sharīd, from his father — or from Yaʿqūb ibn ʿĀṣim, who heard al-Sharīd say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man dragging his izār, so he hurried toward him — or hastened — and said: 'Raise your izār and fear Allah.' He said: 'I am knock-kneed, and my knees knock together.' He said: 'Raise your izār, for all of Allah's creation عز وجل is good.' That man was never seen thereafter except with his izār reaching to the middle of his shins — or to the middle of his shins.
