Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَن عَوْفٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ خَالِدًا الْأَحْدَبَ عَن صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ قَالَ أُغْمِيَ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى فَبَكَوْا عَلَيْهِ فَأَفَاقَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكُمْ
مِمَّا بَرِئَ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ وَسَلَقَ وَخَرَقَ وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِمَا عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَقَالَ فِيهِمَا جَمِيعًا مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ أَوْ سَلَقَ أَوْ خَرَقَ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from ʿAwf, who said: I heard Khālid al-Aḥdab, from Ṣafwān ibn Muḥriz, who said: Abū Mūsā lost consciousness, and they wept over him. When he regained consciousness, he said: 'I declare myself free before you from what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared himself free from — from whoever shaves, raises her voice in wailing, or tears her garments.' ʿAffān narrated both of these to us another time, saying in both: 'from whoever shaves or raises her voice in wailing or tears her garments.'
