حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَرْوَانَ عَن الْهُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَسِّرُوا قِسِيَّكُمْ وَقَطِّعُوا أَوْتَارَكُمْ يَعْنِي فِي الْفِتْنَةِ وَالْزَمُوا أَجْوَافَ الْبُيُوتِ وَكُونُوا فِيهَا كَالْخَيِّرِ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ
English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Hammām narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Juḥādah narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Tharwān, from al-Huzayl ibn Shuraḥbīl, from Abū Mūsā, from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Break your bows and cut your bowstrings' — meaning during fitnah — 'and stay in the inner parts of your homes, and be like the better of the two sons of Adam.'
