English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Sufyān, Abū Burdah ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Burdah narrated to me, from his grandfather, from Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī, who said: When a petitioner or someone in need came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would say: 'Intercede and you shall be rewarded, and let Allah عز وجل decree upon the tongue of His Messenger what He wills.' He also said: 'The believer to the believer is like a building, each part strengthens the other.' And he said: 'The trustworthy treasurer who gives what he is ordered to give, willingly and with a good heart, is one of the two givers of charity.'
