English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Sukayn ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz narrated to us, Sayyār ibn Salāmah Abū al-Minhāl narrated to us. He said: I entered with my father upon Abū Barzah, and on that day I had earrings in my ears and I was a boy. He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘The leaders are from Quraysh — three things, so long as they do three things: when they judge, they do so justly; when mercy is sought from them, they show mercy; and when they make a covenant, they fulfill it. Whoever among them does not do that — upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind.’
