حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي
بَرْزَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ غِفَارُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ مَا أَنَا قُلْتُهُ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَهُ

English Translation
Sulaymān ibn Dāwūd narrated to us, Shuʿbah informed us, from ʿAlī ibn Zayd who said: I heard al-Mughīrah ibn Abī Barzah narrating from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Ghifār — Allah has forgiven them. Aslam — Allah has made peace with them. It is not I who said it, but rather Allah تبارك وتعالى said it.’
