Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us: Shu‘bah narrated to us. And Hajjāj said: Shu‘bah narrated to me. He said: I heard Qatādah narrating from Zurārah ibn Awfā. Hajjāj said in his narration: I heard Zurārah ibn Awfā, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, who said: Ya‘lā ibn Munyah — or Ibn Umayyah — fought a man, and one of them bit the other’s hand. When he pulled his hand from his mouth, he pulled out his front tooth. Hajjāj said: his two front teeth. They took their dispute to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: Does one of you bite his brother as a stallion bites? There is no blood money for it.
