حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ اعْتَرَفَتْ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِزِنًا وَقَالَتْ أَنَا حُبْلَى فَدَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِيَّهَا فَقَالَ أَحْسِنْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِذ
َا وَضَعَتْ فَأَخْبِرْنِي فَفَعَلَ فَأَمَرَ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَشُكَّتْ عَلَيْهَا ثِيَابُهَا ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهَا فَرُجِمَتْ ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَجَمْتَهَا ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ قُسِمَتْ بَيْنَ سَبْعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَوَسِعَتْهُمْ وَهَلْ وَجَدْتَ شَيْئًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَنْ جَادَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا لِلَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى

English Translation
Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Ma‘mar informed us, from Yahyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from Abū Qilābah, from Abū al-Muhallab, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, that a woman from Juhaynah confessed to the Prophet ﷺ to adultery, saying: I am pregnant. the Prophet ﷺ called her guardian and said: Be good to her. When she gives birth, inform me. He did so. the Prophet ﷺ ordered that her garments be tied tightly around her, then he ordered her to be stoned, and she was stoned. Then he prayed over her. ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb said: O Messenger of Allāh, you stoned her and then pray over her? He said: She has repented a repentance that, if divided among seventy of the people of Madinah, would suffice them. And have you found anything better than that she gave herself sincerely to Allāh — blessed and exalted is He?
