English Translation

Hushaym narrated to us: Mansūr informed us, from al-Hasan, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, that a man from the Ansār freed six slaves of his at the time of his death, and he had no other property besides them. When this reached the Prophet ﷺ, he said: I almost considered not praying over him. Then he called for the slaves, divided them into three groups, freed two, and kept four in slavery.
