حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَيْسَ لَ
هُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ لَا أُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ دَعَا بِالرَّقِيقِ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us: Mansūr informed us, from al-Hasan, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, that a man from the Ansār freed six slaves of his at the time of his death, and he had no other property besides them. When this reached the Prophet ﷺ, he said: I almost considered not praying over him. Then he called for the slaves, divided them into three groups, freed two, and kept four in slavery.
