حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى أَنَّ أَبَا قِلَابَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الْمُهَلَّبِ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ حَد
َّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ النَّجَاشِيَّ تُوُفِّيَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَصَفَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَمَا نَحْسِبُ الْجِنَازَةَ إِلَّا مَوْضُوعَةً بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, Ḥarb narrated to us, Yaḥyā narrated to us, that Abū Qilābah narrated to him, that Abū al-Muhallab narrated to him, that ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn narrated to him, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Your brother the Negus has passed away, so pray over him.” He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ formed a row and we formed rows behind him, and he prayed over him while we did not think the bier was placed before him.
