حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَج
َلَّ وَلْيُكْرِمْ جَارَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلْيَقُلْ حَقًّا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Qatādah narrating from ‘Alqamah ibn ‘Abd Allāh al-Muzinī, from men among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: ‘Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah عز وجل and honor his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and speak truth or remain silent.’ (Hajjāj narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Qatādah narrating from ‘Alqamah ibn ‘Abd Allāh al-Muzinī, from men among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, from the Prophet ﷺ, and mentioned similarly.)
