English Translation
It was narrated from 'Amr ibn Salima (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I used to sit at the road and memorize from the riders what they conveyed of the Quran. When Islam came to our people, I had memorized more Quran than anyone, so I led them in prayer as a young boy. My garment was short and did not cover my backside when I prostrated, so a woman of the tribe said: 'Cover your reciter's backside from us.'
