Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ

مَطِيرَةٍ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْتُ اسْتَفْتَحْتُ فَقَالَ أَبِي مَنْ هَذَا قَالُوا أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصَابَتْنَا سَمَاءٌ لَمْ تَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ

English Translation

It was narrated from the father of Usama ibn Abi al-Malih that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that if a slave is partially freed, the owner must complete his emancipation, and the slave serves the owner for his remaining time of freedom.
