English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that when they prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, they used to say the salam gesturing with their hands to the right and left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'What is the matter with people gesturing with their hands like the tails of restless horses? It is enough for one of you to say it calmly while gesturing with his hand toward his companion.'
