حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا زَالَت

ْ الشَّمْسُ لَا يَخْرِمُ ثُمَّ لَا يُقِيمُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَإِذَا خَرَجَ أَقَامَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that Bilal used to call the adhan when the sun had passed its zenith. He would then wait, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, Bilal would call the iqama.
