Hadith #236
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الِاسْتِنْجَاءِ أَمَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ
ثَلَاثَةَ أَحْجَارٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَةُ أَحْجَارٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رَجِيعٌ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said regarding purification with stones: 'Does not one of you find three stones?' A man from Khuzayma's family narrated from 'Umara ibn Khuzayma ibn Thabit from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If anyone among you relieves himself, let him use three stones — they will suffice him.'
