Hadith #440
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّه
ِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ { لَهُمْ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ } قَالَ هِيَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْعَبْدُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this verse: 'For them is good news in the worldly life and in the Hereafter.' He ﷺ said: 'It is the righteous dream that the servant sees or that is seen for him.'
