حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ الْخَيْرِ الزِّيَادِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الل
َّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ لَمْ يُجِلَّ كَبِيرَنَا وَيَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيَعْرِفْ لِعَالِمِنَا حَقَّهُ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He is not of my nation who does not honor the elder, show mercy to the young, and recognize the right of the scholar.'
