Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَكَانَ عَامِلًا عَلَى تَوَّجَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا

عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ نَامَ عَلَى إِجَّارٍ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ مَا يَدْفَعُ قَدَمَيْهِ فَخَرَّ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ وَمَنْ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ إِذَا ارْتَجَّ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ

English Translation

It was narrated from some companions of the Prophet ﷺ that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever sleeps on a rooftop without a barrier to prevent his feet from slipping off and falls — his protection is removed. And whoever boards a ship when it is stormy — his protection is removed.'
