English Translation
It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a gold ring on a man's hand and said: 'What is the matter with you and the jewelry of the people of Paradise?' The man then came back wearing a brass ring. He said: 'I smell on you the odor of the people of idols.' He said: 'Of what shall I make it, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Of silver.'
