Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ وَابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَأَيَا جَنَازَةً فَقَامَ أَحَدُهُ

مَا وَقَعَدَ الْآخَرُ فَقَالَ الَّذِي قَامَ أَلَمْ يَقُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ الَّذِي قَعَدَ بَلَى وَقَعَدَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
'Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Muhammad, that al-Hasan ibn 'Ali and Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهم) saw a funeral. One of them stood and the other sat. The one who stood said: 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not stand?' The one who sat said: 'Yes, and he also sat.'
