حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَالْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ مَرَّتْ بِهِمَا جِنَازَةٌ فَقَامَ أَحَدُهُ

English Translation

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ibn Sirin, that a funeral passed by Ibn 'Abbas and al-Hasan ibn 'Ali (رضي الله عنهم). One of them stood and the other sat. The one who stood said: 'Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood?' He said: 'Yes, and he also sat.'
