Hadith #215
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ فَهْمٍ قَال
َ وَأَظُنُّهُ يُسَمَّى مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ وَأَظُنُّهُ حِجَازِيًّا أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ يُحَدِّثُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ وَقَدْ نُحِرَتْ لِلْقَوْمِ جَزُورٌ أَوْ بَعِيرٌ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْقَوْمُ يُلْقُونَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّحْمَ يَقُولُ أَطْيَبُ اللَّحْمِ لَحْمُ الظَّهْرِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, Mis'ar narrated to us, a shaykh from [the tribe of] Fahm narrated to me. He said: I think his name was Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, and I think he was from the Hijaz. He heard 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far (رضي الله عنهما) telling Ibn al-Zubayr, while a camel or a young camel had been slaughtered for the people, that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, while the people were offering meat to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'The best meat is the meat of the back.'
