حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ب

ْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ جَعْفَرٍ حِينَ قُتِلَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اصْنَعُوا لِآلِ جَعْفَرٍ طَعَامًا فَقَدْ أَتَاهُمْ أَمْرٌ يَشْغَلُهُمْ أَوْ أَتَاهُمْ مَا يَشْغَلُهُمْ

English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, Ja'far ibn Khalid narrated to us, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far (رضي الله عنهما), who said: When the news of Ja'far's death reached them, when he was killed, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Prepare food for the family of Ja'far, for something has come to them that will occupy them,' or 'something has come to them that will preoccupy them.'
