حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ الْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ فِيهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامِ يَعْنِي أَيَّامَ الْعَشْرِ قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ و
َلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا رَجُلًا خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْجِعْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ يَعْنِي مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ الْعَمَلُ فِيهَا

English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated from al-A'mash, from Muslim al-Batin, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah (عز وجل) than these days' — meaning the ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah). They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, not even jihad in the path of Allah?' He said: 'Not even jihad in the path of Allah, except for a man who went out with his life and his wealth and did not return with any of it.' Abu Mu'awiyah narrated from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih — and al-A'mash also narrated from Mujahid, without (mentioning) Ibn 'Abbas — from the Prophet ﷺ, a similar report meaning: 'There are no days in which deeds (are more beloved)...'
