حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ طَاوُسًا عَنْ السُّبْحَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَنَّاقٍ جَالِسًا فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ وَطَاوُسٌ يَسْمَعُ حَدَّثَنَا طَاوُسٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ فَر
َضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ فَكَمَا تُصَلِّي فِي الْحَضَرِ قَبْلَهَا وَبَعْدَهَا فَصَلِّ فِي السَّفَرِ قَبْلَهَا وَبَعْدَهَا قَالَ وَكِيعٌ مَرَّةً وَصَلِّهَا فِي السَّفَرِ

English Translation
Waki' narrated from Usamah ibn Zayd, who said: I asked Tawus about voluntary prayers while traveling. Al-Hasan ibn Muslim ibn Yannaq was sitting there, and al-Hasan ibn Muslim said — while Tawus was listening — 'Tawus narrated to us from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prescribed the prayers for residence and travel. So just as you pray before and after (the obligatory prayers) in residence, pray before and after them in travel.' Waki' said on one occasion: 'And pray them in travel.'
